That's all it is... a tall wagon with decent running gear. Worse than an SUV, really... because at least some SUVs have truck-levels of durability.

People who drive these vehicles aren't doing it to haul lumber.
It's a grocery getter, take the kids to soccer, go out to dinner with the family vehicle.
It gets much better gas mileage than an SUV, is more luxurious than an SUV, doesn't have the tall stance of an SUV, nor does it handle or ride like an SUV.
Nos, the public is going to eat this vehicle up. Not go off-roading in it. You need to get the yee-haa NB mentality out of your system. Ford makes vehicles for the masses, as do all car makers. They make vehicles for those people in the big metropolitan cities.
You may not like it but you drive an SPI and live in NB. Nuff said?
