#1
How do I got about or what is the best way to install a mechanical water temp gauge. I got the guage in a set so I might as will use it.

I tapped into one of the rad lines with mine. Fabbed and welded up a little bung, cut the hose, and clamped the two ends around this metal piece with the sender in the middle. It's been flawless for 2 years now...

Remember to ground the sender also.

It's one of the harder gauges to install for sure, but it works...

Lol, I figured you'd want a pic...

Unfortunately no, I don't think I could take a very good one that would give it justice...

If you're not familiar with that kind of work I strongly suggest to NOT drill your thermostat housing. You could mess it up really easy. The plastic housing is known to crack and leak by it's own and adding holes in it surely won't help.

Go to some hardware store and get yourself a plastic T to splice one of your hose. Much safer and quick than removing the whole thermostat housing.
got gas?
