Front Bumper Signal Removal On 05 Focus....
#1
So i order these smoked bumper sgnals for my g/f's black ZX5 to replace the ugly orange ones. Im assuming its an easy "pop on/pop off" deal and shouldnt take more than a few minutes.....well was i ever wrong!!!
HOLY CRAP!...had to remove the headlights on both sides and the driver side had a structural brace over the signal on the inside so i had to squeeze my hand to get the wrachet in there...oh man!
Had NO IDEA ford would make changing the signal so hard!

Yeah it's amazing the differences in the 05+

with my buddies car we removed the headlights, grille and splash gaurd underneath just to get at them.... same would go as far as replacing the fogs too

they must think that simple things like that everyone will have to take it to the dealership now

The problem is that as more & more gets packed under the hood in a smaller & smaller space, you're going to run into issues like this :(

There are actually worse remove & replace situations than even that floating around right now <_<

the passenger side is easy to replace, but the driver side has the stock intake box thats in the way... it makes it real difficult to get in there with your hands/tools

I was under the impression that the splash guard could be removed and the fogs/signals could easily be accessed like 04 and earlier.

Its still a bitch to do, but doesn't require disassembling the whole car.

But now you know, and knowing is half the battle! :D
