IIRC the brake light not only indicates the e-brake is on, but also is used to indicate problems with the braking system in general - you may for example want to check your brake fluid level.

i had the same prob with my mazda and the rear brake was leaking and made the brake fluid low

I had this problem with my 2000 ZTS, the drum brake wheel cylinders ( I think that's what they are called) leak. Check your brake fluid levels.

I have no leaks But my fluid is at the Min line.
Ill fill it and see what happends.

most likely, you will need to get rear drum serviced.

rear drum=wheel bearing change as well. BTW, buy the drums from Ford. At my work we've had nothing but headaches using anything aftermarket.
